The lengths of sheep hunts are 10 days. The guide will
slow this hunt down so the hunter can save his energy for
the chase and acclimate to the altitude and the environment.
These hunts can be very physical. We highly recommend that
the hunter prepare himself with 3 months of physical conditioning.
10 days of sheep hunting will surely remind you of your desire,
determination, and confirm our insistence in coming to camp
in good physical condition.
Sheep Hunt area: These hunts take place in the Chugiak
mountain region, Units 13 & 14. The genetics of these sheep
are astounding and this range supports a very strong population
of sheep that have been producing consistently some of the
largest Dall Rams in the world for many years. Tad Gilbert
has over 20 years experience and has an impressive resume
of sheep and tremendous success to show for his knowledge
and experience. We are very honored and pleased to be working
directly with Tad Gilbert and his “Name Your Game” Guide Service.
Tad is a remarkable woodsman and one of the finest Dall sheep
Guides in the world. We highly recommend Tad for this type
of species. The hunter must be in top shape to keep up with
Tad and to enjoy all the aspects this exclusive hunt has to

Trophy care: Once you have downed your trophy and tagged It,
It will be professionally skinned, fleshed, salted, and dried.
We will then prepare it for transportation to accompany you.
We recommend and use one of Alaska’s finest Studio Taxidermist
for trophy mounts, however you may also have someone else
in mind where your trophy mount is concerned, In either event
it will be prepared and ready too accompany you for transportation.
