Alaska Brown Bear
Hunts
Alaska Brown
Bear hunts are 10 full days. Spring Hunts are during the even years,
2008, 2010 and so on – May 10th through May 25th. Longer days and
thicker hides are evident and present more daylight for Brown bear
hunting and harvest. The fall hunts take place October 1st through
October 21st during the odd years 2007, 2009 and so on. The Brownies
will have tremendous hides during the fall. This is the best Time for
archery hunts to take place. The surrounding rivers and streams support
strong salmon runs which support brownies gathering on these waterways
to gorge on salmon to put on needed weight to support there hibernation
period. We do not anticipate the hunts to take this long to harvest your
Trophy. Some bears on occasion are harvested on the last day as well as
the first day of a scheduled hunt. The Alaskan peninsula has some of the
most severe weather in the world, especially during the fall. With this
in mind, unfortunately this is where the bears live and strive; we must
endure and tolerate the weather as the bears do. In the event that your
trophy has not been taken in this time frame, we may at our discretion
extend your hunt at our expense to see your goals are met. We will to do
everything a hunter is willing to participate in to achieve complete
satisfaction and success with great emphasis on quality trophy size and
harvest.
TROPHY CARE:
Once you have downed your trophy and tagged It, It will be
professionally skinned, fleshed, salted, and dried. We will then prepare
it for transportation to accompany you. We recommend and use one of
Alaska’s finest Studio Taxidermist for trophy mounts, however you may
also have someone else in mind where your trophy mount is concerned, In
either event it will be prepared and ready too accompany you for
transportation.
